After performing the pressure drop for chilled water system, assume 50m head for the pump. Now, to size the pressurization tank how do I get the system pressure? I am sure, this is not the same as the calculated press loss. Since its a closed piping system I am confused if I should be considering the building height to size the tank?, considering P = density X g X height?

Now, for the above lets say we have a very tall building (more than 100m). Shouldn't the pressurization tank be sized considering this height? What bout the FCU/AHUs at the basement of this loop? The pressure on this would be enormous. Can the balancing valve alone handle this?

You are correct that it is nothing to do with pressure differential.

It is based on system volume and pressures on building height.

See this manufacturers description and the calculations required...

No, it will be 10 bar (10meter of water=1bar)

.... seems you need a good circulation pump only ...

it is not clear what you need to build .... can you upload small hand sketch of your system ... just with boxes and heights where you need to instal and connect pipes to your units ....

Like this is never ending discussion without final result-help ...
drawing is drawing and tells all ....

Hi
In Designing of this type
Type of pipes for pressure
Type of pumps , pressure and capacity of that
Air vents
Normally in tall building machine rooms in the every
15 floors
send your mail I could send you more information please.
