we've been using a 27ft freezer container from the back of a truck as a temporary freezer while we're waiting on a new mains supply for our new big freezer... it was going great until the compressor seized on it
had a couple of spare systems from other freezers which have been removed, fitted those to keep up going, it's a bit of a bodge but pretty much everywhere is closed due to covid-19.
box is empty, door is kept shut, so hardly any heat load on it
I noticed one system had no water from defrost, had a closer look and it's not icing up at all... other system has defrost water and has some ice build up
so left the system with no ice running and turned the other off
setup a tub to catch defrost water... there's non so far, not a drop
box was at -18'C last night and -16'C this morning
(thermostat set to -25'C, working correctly, compressor running)
had a closer look, one of the evap fans has burnt out a winding, keeps tripping out, removed the fan, will have to run with 1 fan until we can get a spare (everywhere close right now)
I'm wondering if orifice is the wrong size? it's a No.4
condensing unit (running 404A)

I'm struggling to find any info for the evaporator
Friga-Bohn SK009.E Mono

could SKB 09 E be the new model? - dimensions seem to match?

(but has 2x 540watt fans vs my 2x 480watt)
I'll take pressure/temperature readings later on and report back... with only 1 fan running I'd expect excessive frosting
suction line is frosting up back to compressor, condenser fan is blowing warm, but it's a modulating fan speed controlled by liquid line pressure, fan isn't running very fast
I appreciate we're oversized for the size of the box, we use it to freeze fresh meat, so need as much cooling power as possible (it's temporary until new freezer finished)
