Found this hard to watch, cringing in my seat.

Just exactly what are they doing to the Mycoms?

Just exactly what are they doing to the Mycoms?

In a factory video from many years ago, they do this to check if unloaded work, pump, not pump.

These people love running equipment without belt & coupling guards.

They probably just did a top end or overhaul.

This is totally wrong way to change shaft seal.
My opinion is that is complicated for no reason.
But when ask Sabroe guys why they still use this system they told me why to change something good.
They used this for SMC piston from Mk1-Mk5.

had to turn it off when the pipe and "hammer" came on screen :(

these should come with a "graphic content" warning :)

I seem to remember Mycom recommending running the machine with the heads off after overhaul. Never felt the need to do that as I always put them together correctly.

Totally agree.
Always put belt or coupling guard on too, as never had the need for a danger adrenalin rush.
Can't imagine the result with industrial treadmill.

Also I think my bot would be cleaner than seal faces.

Did you check out other links, for some reason would not come up as highlighted link, so just copy & paste.

I installed a couple of North Star Ice Rakes and serviced them. That would be a real Industrial Treadmill if it came on. They are on timers and start on their own on a regular basis. They tore apart people more than one. I pulled wires and put the fuses in my pocket if I had to go in.
Nothing is foolproof-because fools are so ingenious.

I did, it took me a few days... because... well just because... it's just so cringe worthy...

The one where they walked around the compressor with no coupling guard on, pushing a discharge valve onto each cylinder...
I have people telling me that it actually says in the manual to do it like that...

I have no idea what the point of that exercise is...

All I can see they are doing is checking the same discharge valve 8 times.

if, what we call "harmful volume" in Norwegian is to small, that poor sod with the discharge valve would either be rattled to tears and refuse to do it again or if he is a brave soul that didn't want to contradict his boss, maybe have a few broken fingers to show for it...
