Another additive product popped up and being used quite wildly by our company, much to my disgust. I suppose it does have its place, but goes against everything I've been taught/advised. Thoughts?

New technologies new possibilities, time will tell was it good to use or not...

... for me as an old fashioned refrigeration engineer definitely not a way to go.

I will use similar leak sealer only for car tire.

Best regards, Josip.

This is going to encourage those with less real skills to dabble with car AC as they will be able to offer to 'fix the leak' without actually finding and fixing the real cause. Hope that it is not another of those products that cause a problem with your reclaim equipment, as has happened with previous products.

I just pour some snake oil into the system and pray....:D

Our method is very straight forward, locate the leak and fix it!

Just the other day, helped a friend to fix a small leak in a Skoda Oktavia's evaporator. A lot of work but good results.
