I'm having issues with our Samsung RF24FSEDBSR fridge freezer.
Does anyone have a service manual for this model that they could send over please?
Looking on the net I can only locate the user manual which is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard
Seems like this model has inbuilt problems and there is a class action lawsuit against Samsung in the States.
Thanks in advance

Brian....you are a star. Here's a link (https://www.krispykreme.com/) to some virtual doughnuts....on me :D

Al...I'll be sure to keep my out for the class action in the UK ;)

I did email Samsung but they replied that they only give the manuals to their own service guys and they gave me a link to the user manual....doh!! Or the chance to book an engineer visit lol

Samsung has the worst reputation at my hot end.

LG is my favorite, not Chinese, runs on R-134a.

Had to strip down the Fridge section again at the weekend to carry out a manual defrost with the trusty hairdryer - (well, I don't need it any more for my head ;)).

Found that the inline thermal fuse had blown again, preventing the defrost heater from being powered up.

I find it strange that the thermal fuse is rated at 5A, has a circuit fail temp of +73C and it is the second one to go open circuit. I can't imagine that the top section of the evap where the fuse holder is attached has reached +73C or that the fuse has overheated so much. The defrost heater is rated at 120W and pulls 0.54A.

Anyone have any suggestions on an alternative failsafe to replace the inline thermal fuse?

Hi, Frank.
The defrost termination sensor should be the cause of your woes - can go bad intermittently. and make sure the new fuse does not get positioned too close to the heater

Thanks Twisty. I considered that option of the termination sensor and have a replacement on order. Apparently 2 week lead time.

Hi Josip

Did you read the comments from his viewers?.....mostly from our American cousins, who thought that his way of charging the fridge was ...GREAT...and most helpful.

Obviously leading to more callouts for the professionals in the very near future :D
