Guys,

I have a site where a lot of units are fitted with dual port valves. However, only one prv is fitted and the second port is blank. The second port is not blocked off, just a plastic cap. I don't see this as good practice though, as that open port could seep refrigerant over time. It can't be blanked off properly, as then you would be capable of isolating the existing prv which is against pressure vessel regs.
What are your thoughts on this? Seems a cheap skating exercise to me.

Did someone remove the 2nd prv's for testing and forgot to refit? Stick new valves in the spare ports, much safer.

No buddy,

Units were built like this. As you say, I'll recommend prv's are placed in the open port.
I found 2 seeping today!
