im having a challenge with an old type cold room using R22. the client was complaining that it was not cold enough so the previous technician before me tempered with the expansion valve. i ordered an expansion valve and changedthe drier as well. when i opened the valves the presure switch tube was full of oil. from then the cold room is not working well. the pressures runs low side 100psi and high side 200psi. seems as if oil migrated so i drained all the oil from the compressor and added new oil. after that now the compressor trips on internal overlod. my question. those pressures i dont think they are normal so i thought of replacing the compressor. is ther anything else that i should do here to avoid new compressor doing samethiing.
