Steam Jet Refrigeration

Can anyone help me in understanding the working of steam jet refrigeration (using an ejector)?? i'm not able to understand how compression is made possible using motive steam in an ejector??

The steam is the power source for the system.

Steam flows through the ejector (or sometimes called an eductor or venturi) and creates a low pressure zone in the branch nozzle of the ejector. The low pressure nozzle is connected to a chamber filled with water.

As the pressure continues to reduce in the water filled chamber the water begins to boil. This provides the cooling action.

The outlet of the ejector is vented to a condenser to re-condense the water vapor and steam (which is the same thing).
