Hello guys and girls,
Figured I'd give this forum a shot, since everything else I've thought of or tried hasn't worked. Recently we got given a fridge freezer from my partners mother and we've noticed that the fridge section of the unit isn't cooling enough
(almost warm). Whereas the freezer is working perfectly.
- Temperature is set at the max (5)
- Fast freeze is set to on, but I've tried it on off too (Makes the compressor work harder for cooler/faster temps)
- I've tried turning it off for quite a few hours to maybe defrost any blockages.
- The motor is on and warm at the bottom rear of the unit
We're still within our 5 year parts guarantee but HotPoint want an insane amount of money for a callout. I really don't want to do that, since it's more worth it.... just getting a working second hand unit from Gumtree etc.
What could be the problem? I'm assuming it's a non-working fan or blockage?
