I have a question about material used in gaskets and orings used on equipment in R507a.

Has anyone experienced leaks using neoprene based gaskets and orings?

Similar question with HBNR (hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber) material. Is Buna-N good/bad/indifferent for use with R507a?

Last question/comment. We have used PTFE material (specifically Gylon) in R507a applications. This material seems to work well if the PTFE is in a tongue/grove style connection where the gasket is contained. Because we've seen PTFE cold-flow over time, there was concern that the PTFE might thin to the point of creating a leak...or due to over-torquing.

Just curious what others use in R507a systems.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hi
Have used Chloroprene O rings from Parker without problems
