Years of free use with the occasional self promoting Pop up!
The suddenly an annoying continual "Threat detected"! Whenever I tried to connect to the Internet.
I read various convoluted threads on the Internet. Eventually I ignored them all and Uninstalled Avast.
Then downloaded the latest version from the internet.

I guess time will tell but for the moment "All Seems Good?"

Yes Avast has become a pain since Google got their hands on it! However it is still one of the better freeware versions.

There are plenty free anti virus software on the web and you can try each one of them and if you dont like them, simply delete.

Avast for me...free version at home and the paid version in the office.
Beats the dreaded Norton ;)

I have AVAST installed on my Asus X55LD with Windows 10. The only thing that I hate is the ads and it keeps popping some notification to clean this and that.
