Hi All,
Not sure if anybody can help. I have an older model split system A/C in my loungeroom - Fujitsu AST24RGB-W. There's absolutely no response from the remote control.
The remote is still putting out a signal (pointed it at my digital camera), but there's no response from the A/C. I figured the IR receiver had died, so I pulled out the IR board and saw a blown capacitor. I replaced it, but it still doesn't work.
So, either my repair job was terrible (I haven't soldered anything in about 15 years, so it wasn't a great job, but I can't see any crossed circuits from the solder), or something else is at fault.
Any ideas? I can't locate a replacement board online unfortunately - looks like they don't make parts for this model, and I'd rather not replace it if I can repair it.
