Hello everyone,

Does someone know a good energetic alternative for R417a?

I'm a student at university. They assigned me a project with one of the following question in the tittle.

I've searched the internet but what I've found till now was only that R417A is a good replacement in little installations for R22.

waiting for your help/advice

regards,

Askin

Why are you asking for alternative to alternative? You should give details of what you need then we can give you some guidance for alternative for already phased out refrigerants.

first of all thanks for your answer and time.

well tbh the question is really straight forward... they just want me to give them (docent) a "good" alternative for R417a, to be used in an installation.

My dear friend, R417 is alternative. There is no alternative for that.
You can find another alternative for original refrigerant if that alternative is not applicable to your case.

R-290 is a good replacememnt for R-22 aplications, with very close pressures of condensing and evapourating, good mass flow chararistics, and thermal efficiency., most R-22 gear is drop in compatible such as TXV's
