For the PW starting method, we are normally run 1/2/3 first, then 7/8/9
But can i reverse it by running 7/8/9 first and then 1/2/3 ??? what any problem ?

Thanks pro.

How power on windings is distributed?
50%/50% or 70%/30%

My question would be, why do you want to change it?

Hi, RusBuka. Power rate 70/30%

Hi Brian_UK. Because sometime after overhauling, stator winding lead terminal mark is missing, so can not reg what (1/2/3 )or (7/8/9). So confusing

Assuming that your motor terminals are not swoped around after the overhaul you have to run the winding giving you 30%power output first then 70% 2nd. that is 123 first then 789 second

both of them is same PW 1 and PW2 winding in screw compressors ( betzer )and time between them is about 0.5 second
what is your compressor type?

Hi if your not sure which half of winding is bigger, get a multimeter and take ohms reading the bigger half will have lower ohms reading and smaller half of winding will have higher ohms readings .So always bigger half of winding should start first ,because other wise if smaller half starts first it wont have the power to turn and it will eventually burn out.

Yes, that is 50/50 if PW1=PW2. my compressor is Frascold Italia, Screw type, 100Hp
