Hi, new to this site,

I had a compressor surging after ramp up, check valve rattling, suction temp rises with the back flow of discharge gas. The IGV appears to be operating ok. There are two compressors this one will eventually get away when the other is off, they share common pipes. Sometimes it won't get away. It definitely doesn't when the other compressor is running. Anyone had this fault before? If so any suggestions as to what to look for?

Cheers

I have no experience worth mentioning with these, except - the local chiller manufacturer has mounted the electronics for the compressors underneath on some models. Ok in low humidity, but around here they've had a few boards shorted by condensation dripping into them.
May be worth checking that if your design is similar?
Just since it sounds to me like the compressor isn't controlling correctly?

Do you have soft to sturt-up turbocore compressors? Whithout him you see nothing.

The boards are in the electrical panel away from elements.

If you have no specialized program which is put on the laptop. That to you will be quite heavy to be watched operation of the compressor.
