I installed a R410A inverter unit ( 12000 BTU).
However, by the moment I unattached the hose from valve port, a jet of refrigerant leaked.
I think for at least 10 seconds while I was I unattaching the R410 hose.
( the AC unit was OFF)
It reads 105 PSI g in gauge in a 25 degree C day.
It works normally in cold mode but when I switch it for warm mode it looks
like it does not change. Pipes become frozen at hot mode and
pressure drops from 105psi to about 60 psi.
The question is: Was this amount of refrigerant that leaked enough to hinder
the warming mode and keep the cold mode working, or is this a factory fail of the AC unit ?
