Hi
i've had a exv slave card burn out on me ,suspected the exv was faulty , and so it was.
i orderd a new card from trane rep , and orderd 2 new sporlan valves SEI-50 from sporlan rep ,when my techs tried to commision the unit, the card turned out to be diffrent from original and wouldnt work with these valves .
after speeking to trane rep he claimes that these exv valves were made especially for trane so you must buy them from trane as the exv on the market are diffrent .the resistive values are the same !and they also have only two windings.
has anyone heard of this?
thanks

Hi Goshen,
SEI / SEH valve is the same around the world!
Your unit must be after mid of 1999 and that’s why it is equipped with SEI valve.
Units before mid 1999 had SEO valves.
They gave you card for SEO valve or they gave you card for SEI valve but for RTAA/B/D/WA/WB unit. RTXA EXV card has different software (EEPROM) and an extra connection point for 4way valve.
Hope it helps.

CV

Hi,
Original card is definitely for SEI valve. (Description = RTXA expansion module SEI valve)
The card you received must be for SEO valves. (Description = RTXA expansion module)
Which part number you received?
MOD65E, MOD77E, MOD1064, MOD1056?
If you received one of above you have module for SEO valves.
