hi friends i have a problem with this chiller. This week its been very hot about 30c ambient temperature.got a call out to see why wasnt working.got site and found c1 fans not comming on and c2 empty of gas.the fan inverter wasnt sending any power to fans its a altiver 21.so by pass it and ran fans direct and it ran for 2.5 hours good. Brought temp from 36c to 14.8c and then the pressure unit its armstrong went out on fault and shut the chiller down on bms.refilled the pressure unit got pressure upto.0.9b and restart the chiller. It ran for 20 minutes and it went off again on pressure unit.found the bladder empty of pressure so pumped air into the bladder and fill it up with water again. But still shows fault on bms and chiller wont run. The chiller has it own electronic flow switch and customer has sontay pressure switches. The water flow is 2bar in and 1.5 bar out of evaporater.the chiller shows on service display is unit on. Enabled c1. Comps waiting flo. Switch on. Hp off lp on. Im stuck on what to do next.how to get it going or how to by pass bms. any help will be great ful

has the expansion vessel bellows held at 1 bar or has it leaked back into system?

Hi the xpansion vessels bellows pump upto 8 psi and unit water pressure upto 1.2 bar. But im going back tomorrow and try again. Is there any way to by pass these things to run the chiller for few seconds just to prove the chiller is ok

bms can be bypassed - usually its just a remote on/off signal and a common fault signal. check external wiring going into the chiller.
check control panel for bms for chiller relay- maybe manually latch it to enable output

pressurisation unit will only alarm on hi/low pressure and constant fill-leak prevention- as long as ur system is between 1-3 bar shouldnt be an issue

does the chiller have a dc50 controller- because you would need a ds50 service tool to reset a major alarm- and also easier for reading alarm history and thermister values

Yes it does have a ds 50 service controller and ive reset all alarms on it and when you check rhe comps it say comps wait.flow, state on

state on - signal for comp run- unless external safety devices holding it off- pressure switch/flow switch

Ghaz, your avatar is an opened Bitzer. Why you opened it? We have a similar machine with exploded oil filters in the compact screw.

Was the machine old and ran it a lot of hours? Did your rewind the motor?
We have on a Lennox now in 4 years 5 burnt compressors

Yes machine wasnt that old it was on r407c gas wirh water pumps built on chiller and 2 times pump fail and then on circuit 2 two compressors burn out and finaly the evaporater had burst it copper tubes and the chiller got scrapped
