Hello!
How to replace the fan shaft bearing (road side) on SL 200e.
Is it possible to remove the hub of the fan shaft in the unit
Thanks for reply!

Yes, you might have to dismantle the whole thing though and remove the bearing sleeve with the aid of an angle grinder.
Do not damage the shaft or it will be very expensive.

sometimes they do come off easy..
mostly not, as robert says, dismantle it and cut the bearing races off, then carefully with a cutting disc cut thru the sleeve where it keys to the shaft all the way thru, then do the same the other side and peel it off.
It doesn't hurt if you put a few cuts in the shaft.
Or dismantle to sleeve, heat with oxy to glowing then quench, repeat, then might come off.
Putting pullers and the like on it to get it off is a waste of time.
i spend ten minutes trying to get it off then start cutting.
Don't cut thru the alloy parts only the bearing sleeve !!
