Hi all, I have some questions on how the data sheets spec hermatic compressors. The compressor im looking at is the danfoss BD35f. The data sheets show that for lower condenser temperatures smaller amounts of heat are removed. This doesn't make much sense to me, it seems to me that the greater the temperature differential the larger the driving potential. Also they show 2 different capacity ratings one is labeled "CECOMAF" and the other is "Ashrae Lbp". I'm familiar with Ashrae, but have never heard of the other. The link below should take you to the data sheet, if your intrested.
Thanks guys

The temperatures listed are evaporating temperatures, and for this type of testing the condensing temperature is maintained at 55C for both Ashrae and CECOMAF conditions. The parameters for these two methods are listed on the data sheet (condensing temp, liquid temp, evap superheat). This + (refrigerant mass flow rate) is all that's needed to calculate the refrigerating capacity of a compressor.

Hi mate CECOMAF is to Europe as Ashrae is the the US.

GOOGLE and all we be revealed.
