Hi everyone, I'm Danny from Canada and will be going to school this September to become a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician, then going to do four years as aprentince, then finish with a degree in it.

I found this site and its great. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with some questions I have.

Is there a high demand for HVAC techs?
Is the money good?
Do you guys know of there websites with information on compressors and electrical? (I would like to start studying before I start school)
Whats the best part of the job?
Worst part of the job?

Thanks
Dan

Hi Danny,

Whats the best part of the job?
Getting home at the end of the day.

Worst part of the job?
Getting up for work in the morning.

Is the money good?
Not really for the work we do.

Hope this makes you glad you chose to become a refrigeration engineer.

Chillin:) :)

Hey Chillin,

You should write the advertising for the job postings.

With clear and easy answers like this you will flood the business with all sorts of new trainees.:D

Everyone will want to be a refrigeration engineer after reading that!:p

Hi Chillin

Are you having a bad day,I do not believe someone like yourself ,who is willing to give advice to his fellow engineers in his own time dislikes his job.Or maybe its time to change company:)

Regards Bernard

Hi Bernard,

This type of career is not just a job, Its a way of life.

Even if I wanted to get out of the business, I couldn`t. It holds onto you like a bad flu.

I also can`t help myself helping others.

Chillin:) :)

Hi Danny. As promised here are a few links.
And yes if you move to AUSTRALIA the money is good and there is a massive skills shortage.
Just mind the snakes.
