Hello everybody,
I'm engineer from a Lithuanian HVAC company. About a two years ago we started our own heat pumps manufacturing (up to 17kW). And now we are at the crossroad of chosen the right compressors type.
Until now we were using Scroll type Copeland ZH compressors, but the prices for them are highest in the market and delivery terms are terrible (up to 3 months). So thats why we decided to search another compressors OEM's for our heat pumps.
We got very good deal from Mitsubishi SIAM compressors. And they are offering Rotary type compressors.
So the question would be, what do you think about Rotary type compressors application in heat pumps? What are advantages and disadvantages comparing to SCROLL type compressors?
I'd compared it by my self (COP, working envelope) and didn't notice any significant differences between ROTARY and SCROLL type. But somewhy in the Europe market almost every heat pumps manufacturers are using SCROLL compressors and not ROTARY. Can anyone explain me why is that?
Thank you for your attention ;)
