Every country has it's own regulations on "waste water."
A/c condensate from splits can simply drain outdoors in Aus though some built up areas require connection to town or city plumbing. So long as condensate doesn't spill onto walkways and cause a slip hazard, or possibly have a negative affect on structure foundation then just stick the drain outside and water your plants.:)

when connecting to waste water . have an air gap . 20mm pipe with a few mill gape going into a 25mm pipe or something like that . with a trap also . this stops smell and if the pipe backs up it will not flood inside . air gapp is a must with most things !
