Hi

Can anyone Help,

I have an Lauda T4600W giving me trouble, when fault finding this unit i found that the fluid circulating pump bearing was shot. Replaced motor bearing, turned unit on and found the water cooled condenser blocked with sludge, replaced the water cooled condenser, tested again the unit would not cool past +5.c (and this machine will cool down to -30.c with ethenol as the secondary refrigerant). i replaced the TEV (danfoss TES2 with size 4 orifice) charged with 2.5kg of R404a and got an instant improvement the unit cooled down to -29.c. To test these units you need to know what the cooling power is at certain temperatures this unit has at +20.c 5.5kw of cooling power -10.c 2.3kw, -20.c 1.1kw and at -30.c 0.3 kw of cooling power. so when i inject heat at these temperatures the unit seems not to have the cooling power and the liquid bath with ethenol warms up. but the liquid bath is suposed to remain contanst. any ideas.

Thanks

Graham
