True Prep Table question

I just purchased an old True TSSU 48-12 Sandwich Prep table. It seems to cool just fine, but the evaporator fan seems to run all the time. It runs even when the cooling control is set to 0. The compressor comes on and off normally. Just wondered if this is normally the way these coolers operate?

Evaporator fans normally run all the time unless the defrost system call for them to be off when in defrost.

Yours is a chiller (as opposed to a freezer) so I'd expect natural defrost therefore fan on all the time. If in doubt check the wiring diagram if you can find it on the unit and trace where the fan signal comes from which may help confirm.

I agree with Andy.

The fans run even when the comp is off and this
prevents the coil from freezing.
