Hi, My Hoover HF40R runs continuously driving the temp in the freezer down below -30C, the fridgetemp eventually gets down to 0-5 degrees but the thermostat doesn't seem to cut in to keep it from getting ever colder.
The fan motor works, the foamed in sensor is good, the defrost element is new and works, the pcb control module is new. The only thing not replaced is the thermostat that sits in the evaporator panel. This checks out OK with the multimeter, it reads about 5 Kohms at room temp increasing as it gets colder; I assume this controls the defrost cycle but maybe not?
I don't want to replace the fridge as it fits perfectly in an alcove in the kitchen and I can't find anyother fridge which fits so well. Any ideas what to do next?
