Hotpoint FF won't switch on???

Just switched off my 9 month old Hotpoint Ultima Frost Free FF4200DP - now it wont switch back on from the front panel?
Tried powering off for up to 10 minutes, removed the plug but all I get is the red power light on the front panel. HELP

call hotpoint as still under warranty if only 9 months old
