Hi to all I as new to RE so be nice:D. Has anyone try replacing r22 system expansion valve with r410a valve? What kind of problems came up, & how did it work?

Why would you want to change the valve from 22 to 410?

I was working on a 5 ton system after a tech. was not able to get it operating & when it did , the compressor lock up after a few months . I an not sure what all has been done before. I don't have much info. to work with.
