Our coolroom was built in the 60's - with a concrete floor, brick walls on four sides, a plasterboard ceiling and a door - and it was originally lined with asbestos sheeting. The coolroom is in the middle of the building and the brick walls of the coolroom form the walls to the four rooms that surround the coolroom. We have recently had the asbestos sheets in the coolroom removed and replaced with modern coolroom panels. Since the new coolroom panels have been installed, large puddles of water are forming on the floors of the rooms which adjoin the coolroom on all four sides. This occurs especially the kitchen which is where the door to the coolroom is, but is apparent on all four sides. In addition, the walls of these rooms which adjoin the coolroom are sometimes damp to touch from the floor up to waist-height. The puddles do not appear every day - they appear to be weather dependant - in general, the cooler the temperature the greater the puddles. I'd be very grateful if anyone could tell me what the problem is and how to fix it, as we have had mixed advice from the people we have contacted.
