Does anyone work on train air conditioning ? i got a job 2 months ago , there not many people in Australia who do this kind of work,

Just wondering if anyone works with them or knows alot about them . so i know who to ask if i have a problem .

i guess they must work off 3phase supplied by the train generator and be much the same principle as static a/c the control system would be the tricky bit, does each coach have its own control, and are the condensors on the roof?

Can you tell me the manufacturer of the airco unit? Is it combined with the heating?

Cheers,

Rob

Theres a few types .The package units and the loco split units. where the compressor is near the hot engine and the condersor fans blowing out the side or on the roof .
as for passanger trains. There a split unit with the compressor and the condensor fan on the roof .
There not reverse cycle but use heat banks.
