Good morning,
I am new here and looking for help in reading a reefer download. I believe the reefer unit was having an issue but with no alarm codes listed, not sure I am correct.

Hi Coolgirl;
What model of unit are you talking about? What type of controller does it have?

My apologies; Welcome to the forum, and hopefully we can help you solve the problem at hand.
Is there anything specific you can tell us about the unit?
Is it a Carrier or a Thermo King unit we are talking about?
I'm assuming we're talking about a trailer unit as opposed to straight truck (or a rigid as we call them in Australia)?
Any information you can provide would be helpful.
Best regards.......

Good Morning,
No not scared off, just working. Reefer setting was 34 degrees for cooler product. I apologize but I don't know what model. This information has been supplied to me in response to a freight claim on temp abused product. Was advised the product on the trailer was temped at 55 to 60 degrees. The reefer seems to have restarted every 20 minutes and from what I have read the SMV valve should be reading 10% at start up but read 0% most of the time. Also when the temperature control mode would come on it would start in low speed 4 cylinder cool, then after 1 minute go to low speed 6 cylinder cool, then 2 minutes later go to null two cylinder pulse mode and then start the same cycle all over. The temperature control would then read off. Sorry tried to load the download but the file I have is too large.

From what info you have listed, it sounds like the box temp was near setpoint. Maybe the load was warm. Was it pulped when it was loaded?
If you don't mind CoolGirl, I'll host your PDF for a few weeks for the forum.

Hi Coolgirl / Will
I can not see anything standing out on your printout
'Boss' is probaly on the right track here and your load was not chilled prior to loading
Your abient temps are high 95-104f & as always but especially when temps are high, the box should be pulled down to temp prior to loading & your product should be at required temp also
These units are designed to hold temperature, but not to pull loads down to temp
Its back high on the thread list now & if I have missed something hopefully one of the 'Transport Guys' will pick it up

Not sure what you were loaded with, but it appears it was on start/stop with a 20 minute off time. Even in the hottest part of the day 90's the unit would start and only run 5-7 minutes and pull the box temp down to setpoint and cycle off. It was staying off for the 20 minute off time then restart and repeat the process. During the off time the unit has to go out of range (away from setpoint) a certain number of degrees to override the off time, the default is 11°F. After the off time it is only 3.6°F. The off time and the override temp can be changed. Minimum run time can also be changed to make the unit run longer. There are also things such as productshield which can automatically change the unit from start/stop to continuous, high airflow etc... based on ambient temp. Seeing that the unit stayed off for the 20 minute off time and then pulled back to setpoint so quick makes me think it had an airflow problem and was short cycling, basically the unit was only cooling a small portion of the trailer due to the air flow problem. If it was produce, it should have been on continuous run to keep from top freezing although in this case the unit didn't run long enough to top freeze. Hope this helped some.
