Thermo King V100

Hi Guys

I have not seen this vehicle yet, but the customer has called to describe.
Unit is a V100MAX, and on switch-on the maintenance symbol (a spanner) is displayed for about 20 seconds. Unit is otherwise performing correctly.
Does anybody have a maintenance manual for the the microprocessor controlled, later V-series units, please?
If this is purely a maintenance reminder, can it be cleared from the keypad, or is TK software and cables required?
So many questions - so little time!

hi graham,
Sounds like the controller you have is a DSR, and yes the spanner symbol is a maintence reminder. What you need to do is, switch on the in-cab, from the standard display,Press and hold the select key for 3 seconds. the first screen will be [HC]. press the enter key, the digit should be flashing,reset the hourmeter using the up & down arrows and then press enter.
Remember these hourmeters are displayed as "Tens of hours" so 150 on the controller means 1500 hours. And unlike all other TK hourmeters these count down. so if you wind it up to 150, the meter will count back to 0.

What's you email address and I'll get the DSR manual over to you.
The V100 is a DSR unit and what you are looking at is covered in it. (It covers the B100, V100 through to V500)
Do you have a 204-1186 download cable & Wintrac 5.1 as you may need these items when accessing the DSR unit for certain ops; anyway it's explained in the manual.
