Hotpoint fridgefreezer. Fridge freezing and freezer not working

Hello can anyone help?

I have a 4-5 year old Hotpoint FFA71 Frost free, quick freeze etc


the fridge compartment [at the top] seems to be freezing everything up, even if I set the temp dial to the lowest setting and the freezer compartment seems to have stopped working altogether. I noticed today that the 'Freezer high temp' light had come on and everything was thawing out

thrown out all the freezer stuff, emptied the fridge and turned it off. everything looks clean enough and no outward signs of breakage. The fan sounds as if it's coming on

Any ideas?

Have you tried switching it back on yet? could be ok after a proper defrost.

if red light came on then may need re gas other wise it need thermistors changing
