Guys; I know every Tom, ****, Harry and their dog are looking for these, but I thought I'd put my 2cents worth in.
I'm looking around for low-ish hours, used SL units; if you know of anyone looking to sell, we could be interested and would love to know more.
Best regards......Tony

G'day Brian; We're in Australia. For us, pretty much all refrigeration equipment comes in ex-Europe or the U.S.
Most of the units locally are pretty tired, so of course we need to look where the larger numbers of units are. Naturally we are interested in what truck and trailer units are available, not just the SL; but at the moment we have a need to look at SL units for a certain application; hence my inquiry.
Best regards....Tony

Sorry, when I referred to most of the local units being tired, I was referring to equipment that was being traded or sold up; as opposed to equipment currently in use. Most equipment in use, on the other hand, is generally in good condition, with a fair amount of it being later model equipment, no different to Europe or the U.S. really; just you guys have a lot more of it; lol!!

Tony, the reason we in Europe have alot of SL units is because of legislation. The original SMX unit was developed in response to restrictions on trailer overhang forward of the king-pin. The maximum allowed is 2.04 mtrs including refrigeration unit. The SBII/III series was too fat so TK came out with the SMX and Carrier with the Maxima.

G'day Robert; Thanks for that; we have equipment designed specifically following European spec'd equipment such as current slimline units, which makes fitting other equipment a bit of a problem. I know our pollies watch what happens overseas and follow suit, so I'm sure we've got it in our legislation there somewhere as well.
Best regards....Tony

Hi Tony,

We have a new SL 200 e 50 VIP in stock. It was fitted for a customer and then removed as there was a cooling problem. We traced the cooling problem to a blocked evaporator and replaced it so the unit is as new. I think it has about 120 engine hours on it.

Hi Tony,
For some reason, I can't send you a private message on the forum. If you want to email me at info@brltd.ie, I can send you details of the SL200e

Cheers.

Guys; I know the SL units are hard to get; I'm also happy to look at the Carrier Vector 1800 units as well.
Both are designed for pretty much the same purpose.
Our clearances in Australia pretty much the same as those in Europe, hence we need slimline units as opposed to the usual SBs, Ultras, etc. Certainly, we use them as well, but it's the slimline units I'm keen to locate at the moment.
best regards; Tony

Many thanks for that and I will pass it on.
Could you please pm me with details about the units.
I do know that they may have found a number of units but I don't know whether they have actually purchased anything at this stage.
Best regards; Tony.....
