SR2 Alarm code 30 Diagnostic Procedure

Hi all

I have a Thermo King SL400e that is showing alarm code 30*(Defrost damper stuck closed)*
I did a J101 cold restart, changed the damper motor, ran manual tests and the code only clears on a cold restart before a defrost is initiated. I have the SR2 diagnostics manuals but for some reason the diagnostic procedures for code 30 are missing. It isn't a shut down alarm, but i've kept loads above 5degrees celcius so the coil can't freeze up.

Does anyone know how to fix it?? or what the manual says? Even where I can buy the latest SR2 controller manual online?

Code 30 damper motor draws too much current. Check linkage and bearings. Lubricate/replace where necessary.
You should be able to clear the code in the user menu. If not try the maintenance menu under that.

as rh says but i have had trouble with wires rubbing to motor and giving high resistance due to live just earthing out slightly in early stages gives code 30

Gazza; Mate what's your email address and I'll have you sorted with the manuals. You'll need both the SR2 green manual as well as the trailer binder (pages 12-17 through to 12-21 will help you with the defrost issues on the SLX)
