Hi

Today I was cleaning out my fridge which has a small freezer compartment which had fully frozen up. Whilst cleaning it out I had to remove the side tempurature controls as they we all covered in ice. Unfortunatly, doing this, I somehow snapped a coated wire which was connected to the freezer compartment.

Now the Freezer compartment doesn't work and it seems to fridge has stopped working too.

Can someone explain what this was I snapped off and what I need to do to get it fixed

Thanks

That is the sensor section of the temperature control thermostat.

You cannot repair it but you can replace the thermostat.

Get the full model number and any code numbers and visit your local domestic fridge repair shop for a replacement. Maybe try a Euronics if you have one.

Or try eSpares perhaps...
