Hi, Just new here today. Wondering if anyone can help me fix this code problem? Tried clearing it and no luck. What is the actual problem and can I fix it or does this need to be done in a shop?? Thanks!!

G'day Drowland;
Code 10 is high discharge pressure alarm code.
Let me know your email and I'll shoot over some info which may be useful to you.

If you can't clear the alarm then that means it sets the alarm with the unit not running.

Electrical issue, low battery volts or bad HPCO (high pressure cut out) are the most common cause.

check the refrigeration system for high discharge pressure/clogged condenser or belt slippage..... if not check for open HPCO or electric feed to 8H wire.

I've got nothing on you guys , that's for sure, but I'm certainly willing to help within my limited scope. It's never any fun when it's just one or two guys dong all the leg work. Hopefully the OP will post back and let us know what he found.

could also be LP, seen units with an lp switch fitted into the schraeder valve on the throttling valve and wired in on the same circuit as the HP. would also give a code 10 when not running if completly out of gas
