Does anyone have any opinion or experience with Appion vacuum pumps? We sell Yellow Jacket, JB and Mastercool but one of my techs wants to try out the Appion and any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks :)

Hi HVACGRRL.
never heard of them, but use a couple of Yellow Jackets' and a big JB.
Never heard of them probably because I live way down south. But can you recommend a vac pump that can handle ammonia without falling to bits

93530 Yellow Jacket is an ammonia pump, it's pricey but the ammonia techs here recommend them

Gramko do a range of vac pumps suitable for ammonia, they are not cheap but are top notch

I'm a yellow jacket and robinair user myself, never heard of Appion before ,so went looking and found this.
Smart piece of kit especially like the oil change set up , does away with the rooting around for empty bottles to drain the pump.
