Hi Guys
My client has been having troubles with a Carrier HTA linear actuator. Basically, the damper it controls seized up causing the thread on the nylon runner on the driving rod to become stripped.
They contacted Carrier and had two of their engineers come to site, but according to them there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and they left site with nothing settled. No surprises there.
We have now become involved and are having little success in finding a replacement or suitable equivalent. The trouble is that it is part of VVT system, so the actuator has it's own temperature sensor. I have contacted belimo and a couple other manufacturers to no avail.
I have found the item on ebay here (http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190341563828#ht_1292wt_905). Unfortunately they appear to be from a place that sells items from places that have been liquidated. They also do not ship to the UK and they dont accept questions, so I cant ask if they'll make an exception.
My client is really applying the pressure now, so I need to get this sorted asap. If any of our U.S. friends would be able to help out on this, I would be greatly appreciative! Or if anybody knows where I can find this here in the UK then I would be very happy!
Thank you very much in advance
