Hello engineers,

I'm doing an internship at the moment at an hotel. Now I'm doing a project to calculate the current system (refrigeration) and what they have to invest for a new chiller).

I've got contact with different manufactures (going to compare York, Carrier, McQuay and Trane).
But the problem is that I can't get a right picture of the current system. It's a 10 years old system with an Carrier 30HXC chiller (260 ton). We use 2 of these. Most time 1 chiller is running. Does anyone of information for me how to calculate the current system? I've got questions like:

How to calculate the efficiency of the chiller? (calculate BTW and K'ws?)
Efficiency of the airhandler (in and out going temprature?).

Are there any more parts to watch closly? Anyone have expierence with bringing the current system in the picture?

There is no IT system wich calculate the Kw's and btu's ect. Only handwritten report day by day with kw's and tempratures ect.

I hope someone can help me further,

Thanks in advance,

Simon
