Hi All,
after long search on the net, i couldn't find anything for sizing the refrigerant header. Any recommendations or formulas, or at least, where to take a look, some links or other sources would be appreciated....
It depends what header you mean: suction or discharge ;)
Acording to the bitzer recomendations:
The diameter of suction header should be selected so that gas velocity at full load doesn't exceed 4 m/s
For discharge:
The cross section should at least correspond to the total of the cross section of the individual discharge line section

HEADER CAN BE ALSO BE SIZED VIA SLKEN PROGRAM . USE THE TOTAL REFRIGERATION LOAD TO FIND OUT THE HEADER SIZE .AND INDIVIDUAL DISCHARGE/ SUCTION LINE CAN BE FOUND WITH LOADING PROGRAM WITH INDIVIDUAL REFRIGERATION LOAD.

Did you meant the SOLKANE software?
If yes which module?
