Sabroe SAB128 mk3 screw comp capacity control error

The above screw comp has tripped out on capacity control slide error.The slide is stuck in the 100% position or it is indicating this on the unisab 2 control unit.This is preventing it from running up.

These compressors are set to unload in the off position when the capacity solenoid is deenergised if this is stil not the case try loosing the fitting to bleed the oil pressure from the slide cylinder if this doesnt work your slide is stuck and must be removed for inspection, this is not an uncommon problem with these machines, not the best compressors out of the Sabroe factory.
If you need the machine in operation you can losen the capacity indicator and turn around until it falsly reads 0% as long as your drive can deal with the excess load on start from here you can try and free up by loading and unloading but this will only delay the inevitable
