Anyone know what a common fault of (LOW PRESSURE LOW AMBIENT FAULT) on a Mcquay mirotech poc 2 controller?

Sounds like the fault description has explained what the fault may be.

Low pressure due to low ambient.

Running pressures are fine, both compressors run up 100 % on full load, LP transducer could be out of calibration. My question is has anyone come across this alarm fault code, this machine could run for a couple of weeks before it would alarm, and its a common low ambient low pressure start-up fault on the display.

hi oilfilter, in days gone past, it was comon to fit a winter start pack < a L-P switch + a timer, so that on a cold winters morning< if cooling was required< the < chiller would not go out on L-P the second timed L-P would take over, and let it run longer untill the suction settled to its normal psi . maybe they are using an ambtant sensor to detect this situation of low ambiant to stop the unit, let us know the outcome , sedgy
