I have searched and can't find the answer to my question.
I'm building a freezer on the second floor of a building. Unit will be about 14' x 20' we need 0 degrees. I want to be sure I don't have any problem with the floor. 1 st floor is dry storage. Existing 2nd floor concrete is 10" thick.
The unit I'm installing came from a building that had a concrete slab on grade, 4" of foam ,a layor of plywood, then a layer of 1/4" steel diamond plate.
I was going to do the same thing should I add a vapor barrier? if so where? On top of foam?
I don't want to damage buildings floor.
I was also thinking of installing 1" thick foam strips 6" wide every 6" apart on floor then the 4" foam ontop so I allow air to flow under floor.
Any thoughts?
