hi, we have noticed a drop in capacity in our frick over the last two years . it used to always run at 100% .over the last 2800 hrs it has droped to 96% and we have also noticed that our spiral freaser is not performing aswell as it used to .it used to run at _45deg and now only -34deg.we have had the valve checked manualy and they recon it is wide open.
any thoughts ?

mudhog4x4,
What type of contrller do youhave, is it a frick or other?
Have you noticed anything else on system like ice thats usually there or not , compressor amp draw or refrigerant levels lower than normal etc .

hi,i havent noticed any ice or not ,it is a frick controler, and not sure on amps as we dont record them but we do record the fla% and it was always around 82 to 86% and is now around 62%.as for ammonia levels it hides and comes back and in the last two years we have put about 4 bottles in

If its a Frick controller you could do a recalibration on slide & slide stop , then see what happens .
Also is it reaching desired suction set point or is it struggling ?
If its reaching set point then it won't need to load but you should be able to achieve it manually as a test .
