Cannot find anywhere in the manual on how to remove the slide valve guide block spindle. I have the plug on the bottom out but not sure how to remove the spindle, does it thread out or tap with a hammer?

Tap it out with a soft hammer .

It will have an alignment pin as guide block pin is eccentric for slide alignment .
