How can we determine the refrigerant handled/circulated by the compressor.
The name plate says 31.3 cc per Rev.
The motors are two pole motors spinning at abt 2800 to 2900 rpm. we can approximate the cc per hour.
How can we convert cc or litres per hour to Kg/hr.

You use the volumity of the gas and convert to mass... not so hard
Kssoin
The easiest way is calculate the volumetric flowrate in m3 per second and adjust this for the density of the gas at the suction conditions of the compressor.
CC per rev X efficiency X 2850 / (60 x 1000000)
in your case
31.3x0.70x2850/60000000=0.001040725 m3/sec
Now lets assume the suction is 2 bar and you have 6 degrees of superheat. You will of course have to use your own values here. The best way to find the density is to use Coolpack and open up the PH diagram and cursor the area till you get your pressure and temperature - read of the density which is 1/v and this shows 8.598
Simply multiply the 0.00104 by 8.598 = 0.00894Kg/s
and you get the Kg/sec for the circuit.
Hope this helps

Hi Chef,
Thanks for the help.
I have downloaded coolpack and am getting to use it.
