I have no idea what the heck that is? I went to website and it looks like it has no relation to refrigeration at all.

The Kold King XL is a Refrigerated Truck that is made by Supreme Corporation and I am looking for the corresponding manual. I have contacted so many vendors in my attempt to locate it, sometimes I would even call the same vendor 3 times over without noticing.

So do you want the manual for the refrigeration unit?

If so we need to know the make and model of the unit and not the refrigerated body.

This is like pulling teeth!!!!

One last try and then I give up, deep breath and here we go..........

The reefer box should have a refrigeration unit fitted to it. This is the part that makes the box "go cold".

It should usually comprise of 2 distinct pieces. One is outside the box over the cab. The other is inside the box.

This unit should have a manufacturers name and model number on it.

We need this information before we can help you any further.

If you cannot find a name and model try and post some pictures.

Pulling teeth! No offense meant but that's the funniest thing I read today! :D Seriously, Ebone, do you have a specific problem that you want addressed? From what I've read so far, you have a box fitted with eutectic plates. My guess is that the box manufacturer made a box, then they (or an independent contractor) installed it with eutectic plates and a condensing unit. It may be possible that the plates and condensing unit were purchased off-the-shelf from two separate vendors (Dole Manufacturing comes to mind for US-made plates), hence the lack of a manual per se.

The condensing unit can simply be a hermetic or (more likely) a semi-hermetic compressor, a condenser coil, a fan, and various pressure switches and electrical relays. Typically, eutectic plates have to be defrosted periodically to maintain their efficiency, as frost build-up will get in the way of heat transfer. Some people go around that by scrubbing off accumulated frost daily using a long-handled stiff-bristled plastic brush, the kind used for scrubbing floors. I'm assuming that you charge the plates every night. Not much else to do by way of maintenance, really. It's just like a multi-evaporator a/c or chiller set-up and I would think that any competent refrigeration technician in your neck of the woods can service this. Be very wary of any liquid seeping out of corroded plates -- highly toxic. Hope that helped.

Hi,

I have a big problem getting a bracket for our C7 engine, cannot mount, as engine has some kind of tall filter on the driver's side of the engine and the bracket Bracketry Systems in TX makes doesn't do the job. Any suggestions from the professionals here, as next solution for us (short of selling this truck, cannot make a reefer) is to remove and put the compressor in the place/slot where the regular/cab A/C compressor is, and not have A/C in the cab???? Pls Help. Thx in advance...
