Hello
I'm new user. I need urgently service manual for the unit RD-II SR. I have a problem in the engine diesel overheating. Condenser and radiator were thoroughly cleaned, but the problem persists. Overheating occurs during the cooling cycle. I suspect that the throttle valve X426 compressor or expansion valve is working not properly. The filter-dryer is a new, R404a refrigerant content 3.6kg.
I should be grateful for any help or instructions.
greetings to all

What is your regulated suction Pressure, and Head Pressure?

I'm assuming you have already checked Coolant flow, Eng t-stat, Cond fan blade pitch, and position in the shroud, coolant/water mixture, belt tension, and engine Rpm's in low and High speed..

Manual is too large to email.

i know you have said the cooling system is clean, there is a small pipe that connects fron the top of the expanion tank to the top of the rad.the pipe is very small bore ,if the pipe or the fittings become blocked it will overheat and it is quite common for that to happen and is easy to miss.

Remove the engine stat, and check. then try the water pump....

If everything else is working freely.
usually suction pressure too high.
Put a gauge in the side of the throttling valve, should be 18psi. All the time.

These Yanmar engines only have enough power to do the job, over and above they'll overheat.

OK. Thank you for your suggestions. I checked all today. Well, the throttle valve is working correctly, 1.2 -1.3 bar in the heating cycle. Question: when the mP should open Thermax valve ?

you will need to fit a guage manifold and tell us what the suction and discharge pressure this is running at . If the discharge pressure is under 200 psi , then i doubt there is an issue with the refrigeration and it will be with the engine . Are you sure the engine temp guage is accurate , does it get so hot it cuts out on alarm?

At start up and in the beginning of the Heat cycle. Thermax should not cause over heating. it is just a high side pump down valve.

The condenser fan position in the shroud is also very important. Their needs to be at least 3 or 4 cm of fan past the outside lip of the shroud. otherwise the temp on the engine will slowly rise.

try a check water pump, possibly also on the engine cylinder head was cracked ..
