Hi anyone assist with the following?

The external unit is a RXD71JVEA , I have lifted the lid and found a few dead gecko's !!.
Closer inspection indicates that there are NO led's lit, and a component called DB1 it has ~~ and +- label on PCB. (assume this a rectifier)looks as though it has cooked.

Any idea's as to equivalents or what else I should look for that may be at fault.

The overall symptoms of the unit when switched on is that the green light flashes on the internal unit and nothing else. Error code is U4

Thanks

it looks like the gekko has shorted out the main control printed circuit board, you will find that on that board there will be a fuse close to the power in that may be blown or one of the components on the board has shorted when shorted out by the gekko.
Looks like it si goind to be boards that you will need for that one.

As suggested check control fuse 3.15amp on filter PCB. If this is ok then unplug the outdoor fan motor and try again, you may find that the green led starts flashing again if so outdoor fan motor is causing the problems.
